The wait is over – the jam-packed 3-CD Rhino Handmade release of INSTANT REPLAY (DELUXE EDITION) is now shipping! Overflowing with 87 tracks including a jaw-dropping total of 58 previously unreleased recordings, backing tracks, and mono mixes, it’s essential listening for any Monkee maniac. This limited edition comes with an in-depth essay by producer and Monkees historian Andrew Sandoval, mini-LP paper sleeve reproductions of the original cover art, vintage trade ads and a 7″ featuring exclusive acetate versions of “I Go Ape” and “(I Prithee) Do Not Ask For Love.”

Disc one is dedicated to stereo mixes, including a newly remastered and restored transfer of the original album expanded with 16 other stereo mixes. Disc two is devoted entirely to mono, with mono album track mixes alongside rare and unreleased recordings. The final disc takes you inside the studio to hear the creative process behind INSTANT REPLAY with alternate takes and backing tracks, plus tracks from the 1968 TV special “33 1/3 Revolutions per Monkee.”

    My Instant Replay box set arrived this morning! Fantastic music, the extras are great, especially the music from 33 1/3 Revolutions per Monkee which I think has never been available on CD before. Thanks the Monkees and Rhino!
